These terms govern your use of the text-to-speech service at shooshtts.com ("ShooshTTS", "the service", "we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
ShooshTTS reads your Twitch, YouTube, and TikTok live chat aloud in your OBS Browser Source overlay. It includes a Voice Hold feature (ducking TTS when you speak), per-viewer voices, pronunciation rules, message filtering, moderation tools, and viewer sound / chat effects. We operate the backend, synthesize speech via Google Cloud Text-to-Speech, and deliver audio to your browser.
You agree not to:
ShooshTTS has a profanity filter that blocks slurs and serious-risk content by default. You can disable the filter in your settings; doing so does not transfer our obligations under platform rules or applicable law to us.
You retain all rights to content you create or upload (settings, custom sounds, pronunciation rules, support ticket text). You grant us a limited license to process that content as needed to operate the service — synthesize TTS, play sound effects, apply your filters and rules, and debug issues you report.
Chat messages from your viewers pass through our system in real time but are not stored by us (see the privacy policy). You are responsible for complying with your streaming platforms' rules for viewer-generated content.
We can suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms, platform-level bans that affect our integration, non-payment, or compromise indicators (credential theft, chargeback fraud). Where possible we'll notify you first; in urgent cases (active abuse, legal demand) we may act immediately and notify after.
You can close your account at any time via the support form. Account closure stops billing on the next cycle; data retention follows the privacy policy.
We aim for high uptime but don't guarantee any specific SLA. The service depends on third parties (Twitch, YouTube, TikTok, Google TTS, LemonSqueezy, Hetzner, Cloudflare) and their outages may affect yours. Planned maintenance will be announced through the dashboard when possible.
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every browser, streaming setup, or platform change.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the service is capped at the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 USD, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages — lost profits, lost viewers, lost sponsorship, damage to your streaming reputation, or similar — even if we've been warned they're possible. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits; where that applies, the limits apply to the fullest extent allowed.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute you can't resolve with us informally must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Virginia, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
If you're a consumer in the EU, UK, or any other jurisdiction that grants you mandatory consumer-protection rights, this section doesn't limit those rights.
We may update these terms. Material changes (anything that affects your billing, your rights, or acceptable use) will be announced in the dashboard before they take effect. Minor changes (clarifications, fixing typos) update the effective date silently. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
