How are characters counted?+
One character, one credit — counted on the final text sent to Google TTS. Blocked, muted, or skipped messages cost nothing. Emojis are stripped before synthesis, so they're free. One wrinkle: pronunciation rules count the expanded form, so 'brb' turned into 'be right back' costs 12, not 3.
